Christmas Project

VSL are committed to supporting the Lewisham community in a variety of different ways. We have been raising money to support residents every Christmas for over 50 years. We support vulnerable individuals and families in Lewisham who experience social and economic hardship.

The Christmas period can be a difficult time for many and COVID-19 has increased the number of people in need of our support. We aim to ease the burden that Christmas creates by providing food hampers for individuals and couples, Big Red Boxes for families, toys for children, and vouchers for teenagers and young adults. Last year we supported nearly 3000 children, families and vulnerable adults by providing new toys, gift vouchers, books and festive treats.

We are delighted to be part of the Mayor of Lewisham’s Christmas Appeal 2021 which is focused on Refugee Families and Looked After Children.
