Christmas Project

The Mayor of Lewisham has launched the Lewisham Winter 2020 Appeal. We are proud to announce that VSL is one of his chosen charities to raise funds for.

VSL are always at the heart of Lewisham, serving our community in a variety of different ways. We have been raising money to support families every Christmas for over 50 years. We support vulnerable individuals and families in Lewisham who experience social and economic hardship.

The Christmas period can be a difficult time for many and COVID-19 has increased the number of people in need of our support. We aim to ease the burden that Christmas creates by providing food hampers for individuals and couples, Big Red Boxes for families, toys for children, and vouchers for teenagers and young adults. Last year we supported over 800 vulnerable children and families by purchasing toys, gift vouchers, books and festive treats. For some of these children this will be the only present they will receive.

Every donation counts, just £5 can help make this a special Christmas for vulnerable young people in Lewisham.
