Voluntary Services Lewisham will be providing food hampers for families, older people and vulnerable adults, supermarket vouchers for families, toys and gift vouchers for children and teenagers. A Christmas day lunch is organised by Churches Together Sydenham and Forest Hill for older and isolated adults who might otherwise be alone at Christmas.
Please complete our online forms to receive goods from the Christmas Project.
We prioritise Lewisham residents living in Forest Hill, Sydenham and boundary areas as this is where we receive the majority of our donations from.
We request referrers to come and collect from Holy Trinity Church, 4 Trinity Path, Sydenham Park, SE26 4EA. We will notify you when you can come and collect your requested goods. The date will be between 3rd and 19th December, so please make sure someone is available to collect.
We are able to help in the ways listed below:
Hampers - We can provide Christmas Hampers to older or vulnerable individuals or couples.
Christmas Day Lunch – This years’ lunch will be held at Our Lady & St. Philip Neri Church, 208 Sydenham Rd, London SE26 5SE. We can provide transport to and from the lunch only where the service user would otherwise be unable to attend and where they can get into and out of a vehicle with the minimum of assistance.
£15 Supermarket Vouchers - These are provided for families of all sizes.
Family Food Hampers – Families with five members or more will also be eligible for a family food hamper – which are collated by Kings Church. Families with less than five members who are particularly vulnerable will also be considered, but these will need to be discussed with a co-ordinator.
Children’s Toys - Children will be given a new toy & book and teenagers are given a £15 gift voucher (or appropriate gift).
We rely on you as referrers to identify your service users most in need of our help to ensure that the goods we have are distributed fairly.
If you have any problems with completing the online forms please contact us on 0208 291 1747 and ask for Stephen.
